Hong Kong new energy vehicle stocks open higher, with Leapmotor up more than 6%

Hong Kong-listed new energy vehicle stocks moved higher in early trading on Oct. 12, according to market data from Bitget. Among the names cited, Leapmotor rose more than 6%, leading the group at the open. Geely Auto gained more than 5%, while NIO and XPeng were each up close to 5%. Seres climbed more than 3%, and both BYD and Li Auto posted gains of more than 2%.
